For years, leading ObGyns and maternal fetal medicine specialists have recognized NTD Labs as the innovator in prenatal screening for open neural tube defects and Down syndrome. NTD Labs’ Ultra-Screen® Protocol is the standard in prenatal care. More »
NTD Labs is a pioneer in the development of prenatal screening. The lab’s first trimester prenatal test for Down syndrome, the Ultra-Screen Protocol, uses a non-invasive, low-risk method to determine a patient’s risk for Down syndrome, and trisomy 18/13 earlier than alternative protocols and with higher detection rates and lower false positive rates. It is the only high sensitivity prenatal screen that uses the free Beta hCG biomarker along with PAPP-A and Nuchal Translucency indicators in assessing individual patient risk for Downs. With this screen in use, physicians can provide earlier reassurance with earlier answers with 91% detection rates and 5% false positive rates (95% detection rate, 2% false positive when patients undergo a prenatal fetal nasal bone assessment as well).
